To be honest I don't know. We have 30-40 hens so I don't which egg is which :) Ours are bit older, we're the second owners of them too. But they are a dual purpose bird ( meaning you can stew them) so if you ever get tired of feeding an extra beak.

New Iowa City Council takes urban chickens off the agenda

I learned from an article printed in the Press-Citizen recently that the new council has removed further discussions regarding urban chickens from the agenda. Reason being that there is no longer a majority interested in discussing the issue further.

Help CR get eggs (real eggs, that is)

We've been advised that the city council needs to experience a "ground swell" of support before they will allow up to 6 hens in CR. Please help us demonstrate that we have that support by signing up as a facebook friend.

Davenport man's plan to raise chickens scrambled
